The Critical Factors

When specifying the perfect Mineral Fibre Ceiling Tile for your next project, there are five critical factors you need to consider:

1.    What acoustic performance do I need to achieve?

a.    Acoustic ceiling performance is broken up into two components:

             i.     Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) – A measure of the ceiling tile's capability to absorb sound; higher is better.

             ii.     South Attenuation (CAC/dB) –A measure of the ceiling tile's ability to act as a barrier for airborne sound through adjacent closed spaces that share a ceiling cavity; higher is better.

2.   Are there any environmental conditions I need to factor in? E.g. High humidity, medical grade compliance, cleanability, cleanrooms, laboratories etc.

3.    What surface finish would you like to see once the ceiling tiles are installed?
