Across La Trobe University’s precinct, the architecture is shaped by a strong connection to material and place, where the use of natural timber creates an environment that feels both grounded and inviting. The seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces fosters a sense of continuity, encouraging movement and connection while maintaining a consistent architectural language. Light, texture and tone work together to produce a calm and balanced atmosphere, supporting the everyday rhythms of campus life. It is a setting that prioritises experience as much as function, demonstrating how considered design can create spaces that feel cohesive, enduring and deeply connected to their surroundings.

Monash University Teaching Spaces

At Monash University’s Clayton Campus, the transformation of underutilised teaching environments into highly collaborative learning spaces reflects a broader shift in contemporary education design - one where flexibility, interaction and student engagement take centre stage. Delivered in collaboration with Hayball, Harris HMC and CZ Victoria, the project brings together timber battens, perforated timber panels, Apollo Wood Wool systems and bespoke service integration to create warm, highly functional spaces that support Monash University’s evolving Active and Collaborative Learning Strategy.
