Sophistication, elegance and precision are just a handful of descriptors that accurately illustrate the intent of Grimshaw’s design at 35 Collins Street.
Timber hues, ruffled Italian stone, stunning architectural lighting and our anodised aluminium ceilings& bulkheads all played their individual parts to bring this concerto of seamless refinement together.
The brief to us was simple, yet expansive. Large format aluminium panels, organic anodised finishes, integrated service troughs and the highest level of acoustic performance achievable. Tick, tick, tick & tick.
We worked closely with Grimshaw’s over a 2-year period, assisting with design development, specification advice as well as providing 3D printed models of certain componentry, including the integrated service troughs, to ensure other trades could be confident with their procurement processes. The devil truly was in the detail with this one.
To this day, 35 Collins Street sits up there as one of our proudest achievements.
